Besstel Foundation, a leading mental health organization, in partnership with the St. Andrews Hospital Northampton in the United Kingdom has donated medical consumables to the komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) as part of its October project to commemorate World Mental Health Day.

The donation, which took place early today, included essential medical supplies such as 2 Bladder Scanning machines, medicine trolleys
medical tables, blood sugar machines, Blood pressure machines, 3 resuscitation training dummies etc. by ST. Andrews Hospital Northampton, United Kingdom. These items will support in providing quality care to patients.

Patron of the Foundation, Peter Hasler who led the delegation to present the items to the hospital’s management, emphasized on the organization’s commitment to supporting mental health care in Ghana.This donation is part of our October project to celebrate World Mental Health Day, addressing the media, he stated “We recognize the critical role that medical consumables play in providing quality care, and we are happy to support KATH in this way.”

Dr. Yaw Opera Larbi, Deputy Medical Director at KATH, who received the donation on behalf of the hospital expressed his gratitude to the Besstel Foundation and St.Andrews Hospital Northampton in U.K for their support, highlighting the significance of the donation in enhancing patient care.

“We are grateful for this donation, which will greatly benefit our patients,” Dr. Yaw said. Besstel Foundation has been a valuable partner in our efforts to improve mental health care, and we look forward to continued collaboration.”
